Kara is a Speech Language Pathologist who has worked with children and adolescents in the Baltimore area for over 10 years. She is passionate about language, literacy, and executive functioning.
Kara began her career working as a teacher at a school for children with language-based learning differences. There, she grew her passion for working with children and for language and literacy. After completing her master’s degree, Kara then began working at Baltimore Lab School, where she currently works. Kara has also worked for Baltimore City Public Schools as well as in private practice leading social skills groups. In all of these roles, Kara worked with children with a wide range of needs and passionately helped them and their families to build on each individual’s strengths. Kara is a lifelong learner who loves to explore and implement research-based therapies.
When not working, Kara lives in Baltimore County with her husband, two young children and pets. She enjoys watching the Ravens and Orioles, cooking, dancing, reading and being a mom.
